Jenis
Yang termasuk kedalam Possessive adjectives yaitu sebagai berikut:
my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their –
yang mengubah kata benda dengan cara mengikutinya dengan tujuan memperlihatkan kepemilikan.

- I’ll get my phone. Aku akan mendapat handphon ku.
- Is this your luggage? Apakah ini bagasi mu?
Possessive adjectives sering dibingungkan oleh Possessive Pronoun. Karena keduanya memiliki kemiripan, maka kalian hati-hati ya dalam penggunaannya. Salah memakai kata maka akan sangat jauh juga makna yang dihasilkan.
Contoh.
- Yourhouse is blue. (your is an adjective which modifies house)
- Mineis yellow. (mine is a pronoun which functions as the subject of the verb is)

Fungsi
Kita memakai possessive adjectives untuk:
- to showsomething belongsto somebody: menunjukkan sesuatu milik seseorang.
That’s our house. Itu rumah kita.
My car is very old. Mobilku sangat tua
- forrelationsand friends: untuk hubungan dan teman.
My mother is a doctor. Ibu ku yaitu seorang dokter
How old is your sister? Berapa usia abang wanita mu?
- for parts of the body: Untuk anggota tubuh.
